While the Cat’s Away, the Mouse Will Play … Trains
Alice has been showing a little interest in Porter’s trains here of late. We’ve caught her playing with them when Porter wasn’t looking and she’s even picked out Thomas DVDs when it’s been her turn to choose. This morning after Porter left for school, all hell broke loose, trainwise. Not only did she want to watch James and the Red Balloon, she started playing with his trains and running them on the blue track in the living room. And as she pushed them along a very clear and audible “choo choo” could be heard. She was saying “choo choo” as she played with the trains. It was so cute. I wonder how Porter will take having a train buddy? We he try to keep his trains for himself? Or will he welcome a kindred train spirit as someone to play with who enjoys them as much as he does? Only time will tell.

“Choo choo.”

“Choo choo.”

“Choo choo.”

“Choo choo.” Okay, her vocabulary isn’t too large yet. You take what you can get.

“Hey, Daddy, this sure is fun!“
