On our Sunday in Tahoe the weather was perfect and we went for a hike to Eagle Lake. It was a long hike and took all day, and likewise the posts all day today will mark our progress to the lake.
There was a side trail that had steps, which Porter initially wanted to take.
So we waited there for Sarah and Alice to catch up, since Alice was still walking at this point — and she walks relatively slowly, especially since she kept stopping to small the roses, pick up rocks, etc.
There were stone stairs built into part of the trail at this point, but Porter wanted to scramble up the stones beside the trail.
Halfway up he wanted me to join him.
Eventually we reached the point where the stairs were.
Near the bridge over the creek.
The creek close-up.
And a little farther upstream.
