Yesterday I detailed Sarah’s new passion with Joss Whedon’s space western Firefly/Serenity. That was to set up this post, which concerns her leaving me home with the kids to attend a midnight showing of the film Serenity in San Francisco. To be fair, I would have gone, too, if I could have, it was for a good cause, and her Mom and sister went along with her. But all the same, it’s not the sort of things she’d have done before and so I still got to have a nice chuckle about it. At the showing there were quite a few big fans who dressed up as their favorite characters. The big fans are known as Browncoats. To understand why, you just have to watch the show. But in the meantime here’s a show of that evening’s events.
